The Smith safety tire is designed to be a safe alternative to other tires. The safety tire opens when hit by a dog and closes again when the dog passes through. The safety tire is very light weight and is designed to open easily even on slight impacts. It is made from a light weight water proof foam that is firm enough to withstand abuse and soft enough not to injure smaller dogs. The tire has been in used and tested in Canada by several clubs in trials and classes for almost 2 years . They were used in the BC/Yukon regional in 2007 and they will be used again in the regional in 2008 . With a few modifications The safety tire can fit to any frame. They are available in red and yellow or red and blue.
